I’m Evelyn, the face (and hand) behind Bon Paper House. Currently based in Hamilton, Ontario, I am a lover of all things German and am an avid hiker, choral singer and chronic car napper. Influenced by clean European interiors, hikes through earthy forests and the Japanese view wabi-sabi, I strive to bring these elements into all projects by marrying simplicity, modesty and intimacy with the subtle imperfections of calligraphy.

Within the span of one year, I got engaged to my love, graduated from university, said “I do” and flew to Bon(n), Germany where my husband and I both set out to pursue our Masters in Mathematics. While studying there, calligraphy became a retreat for me from academia and finally became a full time endeavour after we left Bon(n) and moved back to Canada.
